Take a Seat, Cord Fundraiser. Perth, (Australia), 2016.
Take a seat is a combination of an urban art auction and a live music gig. This event had an exciting line up of international and local artists and musicians, as well as great raffle prizes.
Cord is a grass-roots fundraiser for spinal cord injury. A collective of artists collaborate to create an art auction in Perth like no other.
Take a Seat took place at the Lofty Warehouse Apace at Perth (Australia), showcasing over 25 artists. We generously donate out artwork for the public to bid on in the popular urban art auction. All funds raised went to Fiona Stanley Hospital’s Spinal Cord Injury Unit.
Our auctioned works were 1×1 metre canvasses. The event also featured food trucks, hip hop music DJ’s and many more artists from other disciplines.
This art event was a night overflowing with creativity and inspiration. It was a pleasure to watch the excitement of the people bidding for my artwork. Yet there had a serious side effect to all this sensory stimulation, with 100% of funds raised going towards the hospital.
After Take a Seat, I was asked for a private commission of another painting similar from this event. It ended up a completely success.
